River Gardens Axedale is a luxury B&B couples retreat. 133 acres of private property overlooking the beautiful Campaspe river in central Victoria. River Gardens is only 5 minutes from Axedale and only a 20 minute drive from both Bendigo and Heathcote.

Farmers Markets - Hotel Dining
Heathcote runs a large bush market on the 1st Saturday each month. Heathcote is only a 20 minute drive from River Gardens B&B.
Elmore has a community market on the 2nd Saturday each month. A 25 minute scenic country drive to the north of River Gardens will put you in Elmore.
Bendigo has a farmers market on the 2nd Saturday each month. Also a huge showgrounds weekly market every Sunday. On the last Sunday each month you can enjoy the art and craft market in Pall Mall. It's only a 20 minute drive to the best markets in Bendigo.
Axedale runs a local farmers market on the fourth Saturday each month. Enjoy the market and then partake of lunch or coffee at the renowned Axedale Tavern and Coffee House.
In addition to the Axedale Tavern, within a 20 minute drive of River Gardens guests can avail themselves of the best fine dining at the Toolleen Hotel, the Farmers Arms Hotel Junortoun and the Redesdale Hotel. Of course there's also numerous hotels, bistros, restaurants and coffee shops in Bendigo and Heathcote for you to enjoy.
