The Italian marble and tiled, curved-wall ensuite has a multi-jet double shower, heated towel rail, hair drier and wall heater.

100% Egyptian cotton linen, robes and towels, locally made soaps and toiletries are provided for your convenience.

Alarm clock radio, direct dial telephone, TV, DVD, & CD are all provided in your room.

The Captains Room
Luxuriously appointed super king size bed or two super king singles.

After two years of extensive renovations by new owners Carl and Jeanne Beaumont, McCormick house retains its original charm with its original fireplaces, native rimu timber panelling and staircase.

Standing sentinel in the hills behind the bay, Mt McCormick bears his name. Most of his working life was spent farming at Whatamango Bay near Picton in the picturesque Marlborough Sounds, retiring to Picton in 1914, where he had this large architecturally designed house built on this prominent half-acre site.

Your hosts Jeanne and Carl are South Islanders and have travelled extensively throughout New Zealand, they love meeting people and sharing their local knowledge, to help make your stay here a special one.
Eco-friendly recycling, composting and solar water heating play an important role in McCormick House.

Jeanne enjoys gardening and catering to the whims of their two cats Ashlee and Cuddles, Carl, a cabinetmaker, has a passion for restoring early New Zealand colonial furniture & boats, together they enjoy bush walks and boating.

They both look forward to welcoming you to their home. A minimum two nights stay is recommended, as there are so many activities and attractions to discover in Marlborough.

A gentle stroll leads to central Picton shopping, cafés, restaurants, art galleries, waterfront activities, eco-cruises and bush walks. McCormick House is central to Marlborough's boat marinas, numerous wineries, breathtaking waterfront scenery and the world famous Queen Charlotte Track.
