Lakeside Lodge is set on nearly 70 acres of farmland and pine forest on the banks of the Motueka river - 45 minutes from Nelson airport - and set in one of the most beauitiful valleys in the Tasman region.

The Lodge is only 15 minutes from Motueka - you get the peace and tranquility of the beautiful Motueka Valley with the convenience of nearby Motueka - the gateway to the Abel Tasman National Park.

The Lodge provides an ideal base for exploring the Abel Tasman and Kahurangi National Parks, local award winning wineries, art galleries and of course being on the banks of the river - it is every fishermans dream. This part of the Motueka River enjoys year round fishing

The Lodge is a log home. Lisa & Graeme have designed the interior with comfort in mind. Everything from the comfortable leather sofas and log fire to the huge picture windows ensure you can relax and enjoy your stay.

Choose from the Kahurangi Suite with its own private entrance, separate lounge area and fantastic views across the valley or the Garden room which is a large queen room with adjacent facilities and views across the lake to the forest beyond.

Because our region has the highest sunshine hours in NZ we generally serve breakfasts on the large veranda - cereals, yoghurts, breads, homemade preserves,fresh fruit from the garden and of course something delicious cooked from the kitchen using our own free range eggs.

Evening meals can also be pre arranged and generally use produce from the farm and kitchen gardens.

Set on a working farm - you are very welcome to explore - the cows and sheep are friendly and the geese on the lake add to the tranquil atmosphere.
