Glendarroch Bed And Breakfast

We are a family run b and b in the beautiful seaside town of Largs. The house is an 85-year-old detached bungalow. The front of the house looks out to the beautiful hills of Largs.

Largs has its own local museum. The well-known Douglas park, which has wonderful gardens, tennis courts and bowling green is only 300 metres from us. If you happen to love hill walking and be fairly fit, Douglas park is the very place for you especially if the weather happens to be sunny, what a view of the whole of Largs you shall have at the top of the hill after only about 35 minutes walk.

Hospitality tray with tea, coffee etc., there is ample off road car parking. Come and enjoy our delicious Scottish breakfasts. A warm welcome awaits our guests at Glendarroch.

All of our 4 rooms are non-smoking and are en suite. Both Glasgow and Prestwick airports are only 35 to 40 minutes away. Glasgow is only 32 miles, Edinburgh 80 miles, Ayr 30 miles, Stranraer 65 miles, Loch Lomond 40 miles.

Largs is also a great central place to make your base for also touring the burns country and other parts of southern Scotland after having your lovely bacon, eggs and tattie scones etc., there is also nothing nicer than to take the ferry over to the Cumbrae Island, which is only a 15 minute sail from Largs.

When arriving at Cumbrae, there is the bus waiting to connect you to Millport if you don't happen to have the car. Once arriving at Millport, you can always if you feel energetic enough hire a push bike to take you around the flat 10 mile run round the island. Speaking from experience, it's great fun as I have done it many times by foot in the annual race.
