SEAcroft
SEAcroft is a small, licensed bed and breakfast overlooking the Atlantic in the crofting township of Aird Uig, on the west coast of the Isle of Lewis. Set above the sea, it is a place designed for unhurried days, good food, and quiet evenings — somewhere guests can settle in and feel looked after rather than entertained.
We offer two spacious ensuite rooms, each of which can accommodate up to four guests, along with a king or twin room with its own private bathroom just across the corridor. All rooms are simply furnished for comfort and good sleep, with views out across the Atlantic. Well-behaved dogs are welcome by prior arrangement.
Evenings at SEAcroft are an important part of the stay. Dinner is served in our small dining room overlooking the sea and must be booked in advance. The dining room is open to both residents and non-residents, and we cook thoughtfully and seasonally, guided by what is available locally. Our menus are shaped by Hebridean produce — seafood from local waters, meat and vegetables from the island, and ingredients grown or reared on our own croft where possible. The focus is on flavour, warmth and ease rather than formality or show.
Breakfast is served in the dining room each morning and is generous and unhurried, designed to fuel a day exploring the island. Packed lunches can be provided for days out.
SEAcroft is also a good base for exploring Lewis and Harris at a relaxed pace. Some guests plan full days out; others choose one or two nearby beaches or walks and leave plenty of time simply to be. We’re always happy to suggest ideas or talk things through once you’re here, but there’s no expectation to follow an itinerary — plans here tend to unfold with the weather and the light.
SEAcroft is our family home, run by Sarah, Elliot and Andrew. We’re open from April to October. All major credit and debit cards are accepted, and booking and availability can be checked online via our website.
