Cae'r Go B&B

Cae'r Go is a beautifully renovated 18th century smithy in 3 acres of gardens and fields.

There are two guestrooms, each with lovely views over the Clwydian Hills. The double room has an ensuite shower room. There is a TV with Freeview & DVD. Tea, coffee & hairdryer are provided. The twin room has a private bathroom with bath & separate shower cubicle. There are tea and coffee facilities, a hairdryer, and TV with Freeview & DVD.

The guest lounge has comfortable Queen Anne wing backed chairs in green antique leather together with a matching chesterfield. There is a TV with Freeview in a cabinet. Two large windows look out onto the gardens.

The dining room has two separate tables, inglenook fireplace and beamed ceiling. For breakfast guests can choose from cereals, fruit juice, fruit salad, croissants, toast, yoghurt, home-made jams and honey. The main course includes choices from a tradition breakfast of bacon, sausage, eggs, tomato, home-made potato cakes, sweet corn or smoked haddock with eggs and potato cake.

Guests are welcome to sit in the summerhouse, enjoy the view of Moel Famau from the seats in the garden, or take a walk through the fields.

There is a kennel available outside. Sorry, no pets in the house.

The local pub, the White Horse, set in the beautiful conservation village of Cilcain on the slope of Moel Famau, provides a choice of real ales and traditional good quality food.

Mold holds markets on Wednesdays and Saturdays. The library houses the Tourist Information Centre and a small museum which holds a replica of the Bronze Age Mold Cape.

Cae'r Go is ideally situated for walking in the Clwydian Range Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty including Moel Famau and Moel Arthur Iron Age Hill Forts and Offa's Dyke Footpath. For a pleasant stroll, Loggerheads Country Park is ideal for children and adults, while Caffi Florence is a good place to stop for a homemade snack or meal.

Directions to Cae'r Go B&B: From Mold take the A541 towards Denbigh. After approx 5 miles turn left, signposted Cilcain. Follow the road for approx half a mile & turn left. Take the first road on the left and continue up the hill and follow the road round to the right. Continue for a quarter of a mile. Cae'r Go is the first cottage on the right hand side.
