We are ideally situated for the Snowdonia National Park, where the scenery is impressive whatever the weather. Nearby are the towns of Porthmadog and Pwllheli. Porthmadog is famous for the Ffestiniog Railway and Welsh Highland Railways, both of which transport you through Snowdonia National Park. Portmerion is only a 15 minute drive from Criccieth , where you can spend the day strolling through the Italianate village and enjoy the extensive gardens.
Take the main road through the town in the direction of Pwllheli, Lon Fel is on the righthand side of the crossroads just pass the petrol garage on the left. Bron Aber is on the corner of the main road and Lon Fel.
Attractions in Criccieth include the ruins of Criccieth Castle, built by Llywelyn ap Iorwerth in 1230. The castle gives great views of the town and the surrounding countryside. Near the castle is the world famous Cadwalader's Ice Cream shop. Criccieth has several good bistro style restaurants.
